What does a newborn care specialist do?
As an NCS I provide attentive care through the early weeks of life. I work day or overnight to maintain infant routines and guide parents on healthy sleep and feeding practices, as well as take care of infant-related tasks in the household. I offer parents time to get much needed rest so they can spend more time bonding with baby.

Do you sleep train newborns?
No. A newborn cannot be sleep trained as they are still in the early stages of acclimating to life outside the womb. Instead, I offer gentle sleep shaping which involves creating a consistent routine of soothing steps that help baby relax and fall asleep.

Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, newborn care specialist services are not eligible for use with insurance programs. I am projected to finish a Postpartum Doula certification late Spring 2025; and will then be able to accept clients using fertility benefits through an employer such as Carrot or Maven.

What is your approach to postpartum support & child care?
I enjoy fostering a sense of warmth and familiarity with every family I work with. I prefer to get a clear understanding of each parent and child’s preferences, and discover what areas need the most support. Then, I can help in ways that maximize our time together and make sure both parent and child are comfortable and happy in our arrangement.
